Our caring community efforts started with a small group of passionate individuals in 2002 and has grown to over 1200 individuals served annually – individuals committed to the journey of being better in all facets of their lives – at home, at work, in their relationships and, ultimately as a more caring community!

Board Bios: Meet Kim Schmitz

With over four decades in banking and a heart for servant leadership, Kim Schmitz brings both expertise and intention to every aspect of her life.

Currently serving as Vice President of Retail Branch Operations at Bank First, she’s spent the past six years with the organization and nearly 41 years in the banking industry overall.

One of her newest endeavors is joining the Sophia Board of Directors in January 2025. 

Kim is deeply involved in the Fond du Lac community. She’s active in the local chapter of the Professional Women’s Connection and the local Home Builders Association, and serves on the board for the annual Empty Bowls event run by Envision Greater Fond du Lac’s Leadership Fond du Lac County Alumni.
